•Oversee a team of technical staff carrying out facility operation, maintenance and repairduties ensuring that all tasks are completed within scheduled time frames while maintainingrequired service standards.•Oversee man power effectively to ensure 24/7 coverage is carried out across all facilities inthe UK’s most prestigious shopping mall including fire protection systems, electrical power, water and air supply, general and technical lighting, chemical water treatment, waste disposal and lift/escalator maintenance.•Continually review and develop a maintenance strategy to achieve the most economical balance between in house maintenance and outsourced services.•Implement time scheduling and utility cost saving initiatives through the effective use of a building management system (BMS).•Report to senior management and interface regularly with other department management to assist and identify ongoing facility and operational requirements.•Regularly audit and inspect maintenance and installation work completed by employees and third parties and provide feedback where required.•Operate BMS control systems to understand building efficiency.•Review and update health and safety requirements by holding team meetings and individualreviews.•Build, review and update risk assessments.

I worked as a fully qualified building services engineer in the north west looking after a large range of retail, commercial and industrial sites. Including Media City which is a modern and sustainable commercial district equipped with its own energy centre providing full sustainable energy across the site.

During this time I worked as a mobile apprentice learning the full building services industry. I worked under some extremely talented engineers and learnt a wide range of skills.
