In charge of the Institute's Sustainable Cities Division, overseeing three distinct programs: Urban Forestry Tools, Urban Ecological Research, and CityRoots with a staff of four summer associates. Managed federal, state and local grants, for projects in Boston and throughout Massachusetts, relating to urban forest assessment, public realm tree inventories, data collection and management, ecosystem services analyses, canopy analysis, geospatial analysis, and technology development. Expanded the scope of the division, addressing topics of green infrastructure, stormwater management, coastal infrastructure, climate change preparedness, transportation, ecosystem connectivity, and food security, leading to design and planning recommendations. Projects include the Boston Street Tree Census, New Bedford State of the Urban Ecosystem Assessment, Haverhill State of the Urban Forest Assessment, and data management for Grow Boston Greener.

Initiated design and improvement work working under Urban Wilds Initiative Program Manager and the Chief Landscape Architect. Additionally, developed and coordinated community service projects with organizations throughout the Boston area, prepared graphics for Parks Department events, wrote successful grant applications, developed branding strategies for the Urban Wilds Initiative, and assisted with public outreach.
