As a Research Fellow I study current topics in American LGBTQ+ health policy to identify key issues and generate informed policy recommendations that can be utilized by local, state, and national leaders.

I contributed to a report examining the status of global democracy after the COVID-19 pandemic, evaluating its impact on public satisfaction with democratic institutions. This involved analyzing historical trends in support for governments during emergencies, developing a framework which explains satisfaction/dissatisfaction with government responses such as lockdowns, and considering the pandemic's place within preexisting literature on trends in democratic advancement/backsliding.

I worked with the DPA to advance their mission of ending the war on drugs and supporting marginalized communities who have been disproportionately targeted by its enforcement. I contributed to extensive research on the challenges faced by those incarcerated for violations of drug laws, advocated for drug law and police reform bills developed by state and federal legislative bodies, and studied the relationship between punitive models of addiction treatment and the impact of COVID-19 on those struggling with opioid addiction.
