My name is Thomas G. Andress and I am currently enrolled at The Pennsylvania State University. I am studying as an undergraduate with a major in Mechanical Engineering as well as a minor in Material Sciences in Engineering. I am Pennsylvania native with my home residence in Lancaster, PA. Since graduating from Garden Spot High School I have been employed in several different fields. These fields include a head coaching position for Garden Spot Middle School soccer, various positions in a pharmacy, contracting work for pharmacies, and caddying at Lancaster Country Club for several years. I am very fortunate to be a member of the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholar Trust and have made many connections in varying industries. At the pharmacy I have held several positions over the span of 3 years. These include, but are not limited to, organizing vaccine clinics for local retirement homes and local residents, pharmaceutical technician roles, customer service, and much more. Contracting work has led me to the construction of sterile compounding rooms (Clean Rooms) and much more. As a caddy I have developed strong connections with those who I work with and often repeat/ schedule loops with members of Lancaster Country Club and Stonewall (Country Club). I look forward to furthering my education in engineering departments through Penn State!
