In my time I served in Afghanistan, Norway, and various other locations on NATO exercises. My time culminated with being on a specialist 6 Man reconnaissance team. We specialised solely in covertly collecting data to be used as intelligence and create oceanographic charting to aid with planning future operations. I was a boat commander and was responsible for the welfare of my colleagues. I was also responsible for the safe planning and execution of our missions. Many of our missions we reported direct to Colonels, The Prime Minister and on one occasion the King of Norway. I am no stranger to special demands. While in Afghanistan we built relationships with locals and helped to strengthen security in our area of responsibility most notably protecting an orphanage to allow the children a head start in life. Sadly my time in Afghanistan was cut short after being wounded in action. Furthermore my time in the Royal Marines was cut short due to being Discharged on medical grounds.
