A medium-scale project providing secondary electrical service to a multi-dealership Auto Mall development was completed in parallel with the Orléans TS project.Accomplishments: Electrical distribution project development processes (easements acquisition, municipal consent for project, municipal environmental field checks and site surveys, multi-feeder multi-switching egress designs, and secondary service design negotiations with connected Hydro One customers (residential and commercial), instruct essential informal surveying fundamentals to distribution engineering team for field application using total-station equipment, Class A (definitive baseline) and Class B (release) cost estimate formation for projects release

Temporary ADET position offered immediately post Hydro One Newmarket co‐op placement and Georgian College Electrical Engineering Technology program graduation. Temporary position created and offered to achieve the needs of multiple project designs required within the zone area. Accountabilities during this contract included medium to large‐scale electrical distribution projects of several distribution station feeder upgrades and line extensions/relocations. Other responsibilities during term included performing R2 pole replacements/investigations under the KMS defective pole “end‐of‐life pole replacement program”.

Immediate continuation and location transfer from Hydro One Orléans to an exclusively project specific environment in Newmarket, ON. Actively involved in the large-scale investigation and design of multiple distributed generation (DG) projects relating to solar farm proposals. Assisted alongside property developers in subdivision development and line layouts (involving Hydro One asset relocation/upgrading/new installation) and specific joint-use tasks relating to requests from local communication companies. Completed small external demand inquiries dealing with customer/contractor related issues specific to areas such as asset identification mark-ups, guying location on private property and pole relocations/upgrades. *Received Georgian College/Hydro One award for outstanding performance during this four-month co-operative placement at Hydro One Newmarket.
