• Analyzes samples, including but not limited to: TSS, TDS, %TS, %TSS, pH, Alkalinity, Turbidity, COD, Micro (TC/EC), NO3-N + NO2-N, NO2-N, NH3-N, OP, TKN, TP (Lachet), Conductivity, TRC. Ensures water quality standards are maintained and that all regulatory analyses are performed in accordance with required standards. Performs Quality Control (QC) as part of a duty station.• Makes in-house reagents for laboratory testing.• Performs maintenance on laboratory testing equipment (e.g. Lachet, balances, filtration systems, etc). Troubleshoots, services, and maintains instrumentation and equipment as necessary, reporting damaged or defunct equipment to ensure it is replaced or repaired as soon as possible.• Analyzes, reviews, and produces data reports. Records data using LIMS.• Serves as Project Manager of laboratories water system. Responsibilities include: calls in exchanges on water tanks; performs maintenance on high grade water filtration systems; produces data reports on lab water testing. Performs this work with no to minimal supervision.• Writes and reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in alignment with laboratory policies and best practices.• Assists coworkers on stations and answers their questions regarding laboratory testing. Provides guidance and leadership to new lab staff.• Discusses corrective actions and updates to laboratory testing with supervisors and lab manager to ensure the laboratory is meeting high quality standards.
