As a principal engineer, I'm responsible for THD's on-premise datacenter Kubernetes solution as well as their legacy container platforms (Tanzu Application Service and the retirement of a home-grown legacy system). In this role, I've focused on creating a smooth development experience specifically targeting feature teams without SRE teams or operational experience, enabling them to deploy and maintain complex applications themselves with a minim of friction. To achieve this outcome, I've collaboarated with our on-premise opeartions teams as well as our platform teams to design, build and deploy our own managed, on-premise Kubernetes offering and maintain our existing investment in Tanzu Application Service.

My previous role at CenturyLink was building out unified environmental monitoring for Java applications running on diverse middleware. In this capacity I unified the management of a widely deployed legacy monitoring tool using Python and built out dashboards to help application owners manage load and performance data.
