District Conservationist
CurrentManage a team of conservationists, engineers, administrative staff and partner employees to implement science based conservation and sustainability practices to improve natural resources including mitigating climate change and improving climate change resiliency. Establish partnerships and managed relationships with multiple agencies, private institutions and resource professionals to sustain the health, diversity and productivity of natural resources. Work collaboratively with conservation partners to achieve common goals. Well versed with a wide variety of agricultural operations including; dairy farms, vegetable farms, grazing operations, irrigated agriculture, forestry and ranching. Planned and oversaw multiple complex projects including manure storages, dam removals, large irrigation improvement projects, aquatic habitat improvements and projects involving impacts to threatened and endangered species.
