About Thomas Hansen

Highly skilled organic chemist with advanced hands-on experience from polymer chemistry, chemical synthesis, analytical chemistry and experimental laboratory work. I am a highly skilled organic chemist with a broad hands-on and theoretical knowledge of chemical synthesis and experimental laboratory work. During my career I have always used organic chemistry and practical synthetic chemistry as a tool to obtain new molecular systems for use in pharmaceuticals, sensors and nanotechnology. My main focus areas have been on aromatic conjugation chemistry, peptide synthesis and conjugations in solution and solid state. chemistry for protein/enzyme modifications and labelling as well as small molecules synthesis of chelating ionophores, The goals were improvement and optimization of properties and preparation processes by which the molecules are prepared. The recent years this has been performed at the borderline between R&D and production where I have included multiple stakeholder and use of regulatory guidelines to secure the optimal results.Future perspective: I see my future work is within polymer chemistry, synthetic or organic chemistry and in R&D dealing with materials chemistry subjects in a laboratory related position within Med Tech, Pharma, Bio- nano or medicotech using my skills to find new innovative solutions.Publications: More than 10 papers and patens published/submitted.Specialties: polymer chemistry, Organic synthesis, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, nanomedicine, polymer chemistry, enzymatic chemistry, chromatography/HPLC/GPC, characterization methods.
