Founded a SaaS startup which utilized a VPN and a man-in-the-middle proxy to intercept a child's internet, and used machine learning to remove certain content while retaining the overall page structure. Each user was placed in a Docker container, and gRPC calls were made to our LLM and an ImageNetV2 instance to determine which content should be filtered. Since the filtering was done in real time latency was a major concern, and so a lot of effort went into speeding up the filtering process. We also hosted a website and build an API using Phoenix/Elixir, and a Windows app using C#.

I worked on the Autonomy Research Testbed (ART) platform, a dual physical and simulated vehicle platform using Project Chrono, my research lab's C++ based simulation engine. We used the simulation engine to test control and visual recognition algorithms, and would then transfer them to the physical ART vehicle and compare. We would also test new sensors in the physical vehicle, and use a Motion Capture room and onboard data to calibrate their simulated counterparts. My research focused on computer vision, sensor fusion, performance improvements, and simulation. For my thesis, I developed an end-to-end reinforcement learning-based control algorithm, leveraging advances I contributed to within the ART framework.I was a TA for Intro to Robotics (ECE439) and Digital Systems Fundamentals (ECE352).

Working to create the hardware for the first generation of seabed mining equipment. Mostly worked with embedded software (C/C++), communicated with sensors (I2C), motor controls/control theory, and internet protocols (TCP/IP). Also did some modeling with Matlab and Julia

We work alongside the full time staff to complete a number of projects, ranging from some web/server end stuff (using spring MVC and Java), to my current project working with data pipelines (using tools like Spark, Kafka, Microsoft SQL server, and S3).

We maintained the website https://wisconsinengineer.com and all subdirectories. As web head I was additionally in charge of organizing meetings and consulting with editors and chiefs, and we organized issues and tasks through github.

I take phone calls/emails/chats from customer regarding technical issues and general tech related problems. I completed all levels of training and was the employee of the month.
