Thomas is the Investments Separation and Transformation Lead for AIG’s asset management business as part of the spinoff and IPO of Corebridge, AIG’s Life & Retirement business. In his role Thomas oversees the separation, restructuring, and transformation efforts that will enable the investment needs of both companies that have a combined $300B in assets under management.

Member of Deloitte Consulting's M&A Strategy, Diligence & Restructuring practice focused on restructuring and cost optimization (synergies/dis-synergies, stranded cost, operating expenses, etc.). Thomas advised both F500 corporations and private equity investors to support critical decisions, impact meaningful change, and capture value. He led teams to deliver consulting engagements across the deal lifecycle, including pre-deal operational due diligence and synergy assessments, ‘sign-to-close’ integration and separation support (including establishing IMO/SMO governance and protocols, operational blueprinting, TSAs, and execution planning), and post-deal cost optimizations (operating expense assessments, stranded cost assessments, and cost-take out programs).

Thomas served in KPMG's Deal Advisory & Strategy practice providing advisory services to F500 corporations and private equity investors across the deal lifecycle and support on performance improvement programs. He led teams to sell and deliver consulting engagements across an array of sectors covering both deals/transactions and performance improvement initiatives. His experience includes conducting operational due diligence, developing cost and risk model to support investment decisions, performing operating model and organizational capability/maturity assessments, and supporting transformation programs. Thomas oversaw qualitative and quantitative analysis to support evaluations, recommendations, and transformation efforts. He was responsible for leading and managing business development efforts, fostering client relationships, managing client service delivery engagements, and overseeing practice administration.

Thomas was a member of the firm’s Center for Risk Modeling and Simulation practice delivering consulting projects with FORTUNE 500 companies and public-sector organizations to aid in management decision making. His experience involved processing large data sets, performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, and developing interactive dashboards. Thomas frequently interfaced between client teams and technical data scientists to develop decision support models and coordinated with subject matter experts to develop evaluation criteria and elicited technical judgments for model variables and probability distributions.

Thomas worked as a cost analyst with Tecolote where he provided clients with cost and risk management advisory and support services. His experience includes developing tools and recommendations to improve capital budgeting and investment decision-making for a client with a multi-billion dollar capital program. Thomas developed complex Excel cost and risk models using SQL, VBA, and @Risk. He performed quantitative risk and sensitivity analysis through the use of Monte Carlo simulations and provided on-going ad-hoc scenario analysis to support capital investment decisions.
