My photographic career spans decades. It began with the completion of bachelor's and master's degrees at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography. I spend much of my early career as Managing Editor or Editorial Director at several national magazines. During that period I spend a great year and a half as a full-time photographer at NASA's Edwards AFB facility. For the past 23 years I have taught photography, video and journalism at 2 and 4 year colleges. As a sideline to that teaching I have written and self-published a dozen books. Two of the books were textooks on photography and a third was about my application of the Ansel Adams Zone System to digital photography. I am currently working on three books which will be out in the first quarter of 2024. The first to come out will be a book of interviews I conducted over the years with celebrities and photographers.
