I have now worked in the conservation sector for over 15 years. I have knowledge and experience of a diverse multicultural urban landscape and it’s people with both rural and urban challenges. I have extensive experience of practical habitat management, improvement, creation and surveying in; Grasslands; annual and perennial Wetlands; woodland ponds, fens, rivers, scrapes Hedgerows and corridors Woodlands; ancient, plantation and coppice. I also hold a pesticied licence (PA1, PA6aw) , brush cutter and chainsaw (CS30,31) NPTC qualifications which enable me to undertake programmed management and invasive species management in the above habitats. I also have 360° excavator and dumper truck tickets which allow me to help with site infrastructure developments. I have many years of experience of running volunteer groups, sessions or training. I have created groups through to working with them to raise funds. These have included both small and large events and funding applications. I have also supported group meetings and development. My experiences have enabled me to work with the young and the elderly and people with learning or physiological difficulties. Of which I have had both Mental Health First Aid training and SEND training. In 2017 I became a OCN lvl3 Forest School leader and in 2018 I became a TAQA lvl3 trainer which has given me the exciting opportunity to help develop the next generation of young conservationists. In 2018 I started looking after and managing our partnership element of a large ERDF funded project 2018-2021, this has developed my skills in team leadership, cross departmental working, stakeholder, contractor and procurement management.I am always looking for an exciting new opportunity to inspire and develop both people and the environment.
