CurrentTom co-founded TILT to develop a new investment paradigm with its clients to regenerate the social and environmental capital that has been over consumed. TILT provides Tom with the opportunity to integrate his experience developing investment processes and supporting social enterprises. He is motivated by his passion for learning, integrating the lessons from past failures and successes, and believing that financial capital can be a force for “good.”In the first half of his career he built and managed institutional portfolios in both developed and frontier capital markets: most recently Putnam Investments. In 2008 Tom led an unsuccessful effort to launch a private equity fund: the Africa Health Care Fund. Over the last decade and an half, Tom has founded a number of social enterprises serving children in Sub Saharan Africa and India: Bantwana and the Central Square Foundation. TILT brings Tom’s passion together with his investment management and social enterprise expertise.
