Tom is a Founding Partner of Dextra, responsible for co-managing the firm and leading investments. He serves on Dextra’s Investment Committee and Management Committee.Before co-founding Dextra in 2022, Tom was the Chief Executive Officer of GoldPoint Partners. He spent over 20 years helping build the firm into a leading multi-strategy middle market private equity manager with a global investor base representing $16 billion of assets under management at the time of his departure in 2021. Before GoldPoint, Tom held roles of increasing responsibility at GoldPoint’s parent company, New York Life, including co-heading the Private Finance Group and establishing New York Life’s London affiliate in 1994. Before joining New York Life, Tom worked at Prudential Financial, focusing on leveraged financings in the Private Placement Department. Tom has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with honors, from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
