With 750cm (300 inches) of average annual snowfall, wind-protected slopes, incredible tree skiing, and up to 2000+ acres of stunning terrain, Fortress is a bastion of the authentic Canadian ski experience with an incredibly unique twist: Fortress Mountain is the one-and-only ski area in the world to produce its own line of beverages: rök. In 2017, I decided to can a highly-unique water source located under Fortress, then developed the brand name rök while on a business trip to NYC. Sales began in 2021 and I sold my interest in January 2023.

Taking several key accident avoidance concepts from my aviation background, Proxisafe™ developed and patented an exciting and revolutionary safety product for manufacturing and warehouse facilities called the Active Eyes Accident Avoidance System™. Dangerous and deadly forklifts account for 680,000 accidents annually in the United States alone; 40% of these (272,000) involve pedestrians. Each of these accidents is potentially life threatening or can cause permanent disability. With forklifts typically weighing more than 15,000 pounds, they are unforgiving to strikes with humans. Significant blind spots, the inability to control safe driving habits, and the lax requirements for driver certification all lead to this epidemic level problem in facilities where they are used.The Active Eyes system provides personalized and meaningful alert warnings to both the forklift drivers and the pedestrians who are in harm's way; this is unique to the current slate of forklift safety offerings in the marketplace. Different from generic warnings such as backup alarms and flashing lights, our personalized alarm approach minimizes alarm complacency and maximizes their effectiveness.

Frontier provided engineering services to oil and gas E&P's, primarily in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Notably, I won a C$34M services contract with PEMEX, the Mexican state-owned oil company.
