Journalist
CurrentI cover climate, energy and environmental issues with a strong focus on the solutions that could help us achieve a more sustainable world. In 2020, I co-authored the book ”If We Act Now – the surprisingly simple steps we can take to avoid the worst of climate crisis” (Danish: “Hvis vi vil – Den absolut realistiske guide til at bremse klimakrisen, før det er for sent”). The book was generally very well received, with former Minister of Innovation Tommy Ahlers writing a six-star review. Working with the book gave me in-depth understanding of the climate crisis and its possible solutions as well as the intimate connections to other pressing environmental issues such as biodiversity loss and pollution caused by the food industry. I always try to address these issues with a keen eye to the data and science that can reveal the root causes of problems and assess the scalability of proposed solutions.
Owner
As a consultant and editor-for-hire, I helped customers conceptualize, design and produce editorial packages across different platforms. I was also a regular contributor to some of Denmark’s highest-quality print magazines, Euroman and Illustreret Videnskab Historie. Besides, I published an interactive account of the D-Day landings in Normandy for the iPad. It is called D-Day Hour by Hour and was featured by The Guardian, PCMag.com and others shortly after it launched in 2014.
Editor
Bonnier's Historical Yearbook tells the fascinating history behind current events. I developed the book's concept and then planned and executed production – working with writers, art directors, illustrators and colleagues in the editorial room. The book is still marketed throughout Scandinavia every year, and a shortened magazine version goes out in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian.
Subeditor
In the fall of 2011, Bonnier Publications launched a 12-volume series of illustrated history books throughout Scandinavia – Historiens Højdepunkter (Highlights of History). My job was to make the books as engaging, accurate and fun to read as possible, working in a small team of journalists and graphic designers. It went quite well: The series became one of Bonnier Publications' biggest commercial successes in recent years and was extended twice to a total of 20 books.
Journalist
Three days a week, I was at my desk at Information, contributing mainly to the newspaper's economics and foreign affairs pages. When not at Information, I wrote feature articles for the largest popular history magazine in Scandinavia, Bonnier Publications’ Illustreret Videnskab Historie.
Journalist
I was hired when the paper launched its new economics pages in 2010 and covered domestic and international economics full time. This among other things meant writing about financial industry lobbyism and the unfolding European debt crisis.
Journalist (Freelance, Writing And Editing)
While finishing my BA and later my MA, I regularly wrote feature articles for Information. Some of my additional freelance work appeared in Ræson, Politiken, DR Orientering, Illustreret Videnskab Historie, Morgenbladet, Jyske Vestkysten and Adventure World, and included reportage from India, The US and Kosovo. I also spent many hours editing in Information’s newsroom.
Journalist
1-year paid internship. I was in turn contributing to the national affairs, culture, feature and foreign affairs pages of the newspaper, plus I spend time editing.
