Throughout my high-school years, I developed a keen passion and interest for the fields of STEM. Following this passion, I completed my Bachelor of Biomedical Science at USC. Throughout these studies I further developed my passion, particularly within the field of Health, Science and Biotechnology with a chosen specialty surrounding the field of Microbiology. Growing access to technology and developments in the field have opened many doors to new found applications never done before. Where can the world of Science take us? What else can we do to push the frontier that we once questioned as reality?In May 2021, I commenced my research journey in industry with Cluster Biotechnology. Here, I commenced my Masters in Research where I explored ruminant probiotics and their application to human health and immunity. In March 2022, I relocated to Sydney to transition to a new master's project more in line with my career objectives at the University of Sydney. Here I commenced my Masters in Philosophy in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, focusing on an industry based project with an emphasis on microbial genetics and biotechnology. I finalised my master's by submitting my thesis in December of 2023 and receiving my official completion letter in August of 2024. In February of 2023, I received the opportunity to start a full time position as a research scientist at HA Tech which focused on diagnostic tests and biopharmaceuticals. Here I was immersed in a number of projects where I broadened my industry knowledge significantly, being involved in both manufacturing and R & D. In particular my research now focuses on the method development, characterisation and recombinant production of Biosimilar drugs.I strive each and every day to develop my skills and abilities, whilst committing to develop new found applications that benefit the greater society through science and technology.I look forward to connecting with any individual who would like to talk further.
