Building single and three phase control panels and assisting in the building of guillotines, sheeters and presses. Wiring control panels to machines and assisting with the commissioning. Site installations and technical support to existing customers. Factory electrical maintenance.

Worked on various equipment such as armoured tracked vehicles, surveillance equipment, radio communication systems, optical electronics (rifle scopes, binoculars, infrared sights and range finders). Spent a long time with an Armoured company looking after some of the equipment in armoured vehicles. Also as part of battalion duties would run a guard room (Guard commander) for 24 hrs at a time which would involve delegating duties, providing information over the phone, running rosters and also performed foot/vehicle patrols.I also worked in Canada for 3 months on an intensive repair line working long hours and sometimes well below freezing temperatures. Also experienced dog sledding in the Rockies!Also spent 6 months on operational tour training and following that went on Op Herrick in Afghanistan. I spent 6 months there where I was in charge of the technical library as well as performing my main role as an electronics technician. This was long hours and I worked every day for 6 months. This was either spent inside camp bastion or at other various locations in the area of operations.I also performed sentry duties in sentry towers on various perimeters, on a main gate checking vehicles and in a prison watching over the prisoners.
