LCS is a plastic injection molding company, as the shift supervisor I directly supervise 10-15 employees in the Manufacturing Department. I carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities includeinterviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. I coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating a variety of machines to manufacture parts or products by performing the following duties. I analyze work orders to estimate press hours and assign operators to presses to meet production schedules. I calculate the amount of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and procures and mixes as required. Interprets specifications, prints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Plans flow of materials through the department and develops physical layout of auxiliary equipment. Communicate with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications as required by work instructions. Directs workers in adjusting presses and equipment. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop and shift workers. Ensures time and production records are properly completed and submitted to production control. Makes suggestions for capital equipment purchases for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle. I’m a leader in establishing and maintaining LCS's Quality ManagementSystem as demonstrated by the knowledge and support of the ISO 9000 standards and procedures.

I was a skilled laborer/ carpenter. My responsibilities here were to operate all company vehicles and our equipment. I can drive a skid steer, dingo, track loader, scissor lift, and telehandler. I would use all tools required, which includes various power tools. I know how to dress appropriately for the weather and job. I was always respectful to all homeowners and satisfy all of their needs. I would also assist the foreman or owner with reading the blueprints. I was also in charge of selling tools and other possessions of the company. I have also done our job estimating for potential jobs. Being a general contractor we have done just about everything construction-related from roofing houses to concrete work to framing houses. I have been a part of building a garage, pull shed, and a million-dollar home. Our company was subcontracted through Pella Windows, so I have installed windows and doors also. I have been on big and small jobs and I know how day-to-day operations work. I have a basic knowledge of almost all construction.

I worked at Napa during the school year. My responsibilities were to read the order and deliver the parts to the correct customer. I also worked counter at night, that would consist of helping customers find the right product and check them out.
