Mohs Surgery is an advanced cutaneous surgical technique that offers the highest cure rates for a wide variety of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinomas, squamous cell carcinomas, lentigo maligna melanoma in situ, and others. Fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons are also experts in cosmetically pleasing facial reconstructions, including complex closures, skin flaps, skin grafts, etc. The most critical part of Mohs surgery, however, is the ability expertly review histopathologic slides of the tumor. No one is more skilled at this technique than someone who has completed a ACGME approved Mohs and Procedural Surgery Fellowship.
