Chief Of Operations
CurrentPlan, supervise and implement the activities of the Operations Section which is responsible for the continuous operation (data collection, transmission and dissemination) of the stations and radionuclide laboratories of the International Monitoring Systems (IMS), and provide advice to senior levels of management on the operation thereof; Establish and oversee the organization and implementation of the Single Help Desk for interaction with stations, National Data Centres and States Signatories; Develop, coordinate and manage operations of IMS remote facilities, the Global Communications Infrastructure (GCI) and Headquarters systems as well as the PTS Operations Centre; Monitor and evaluate the configuration and operation of the communications infrastructure with a view to ensuring that it continues to meet the needs; Formulate the programme of work and the related budget; keep the implementation of the programme under review to assess quality and effectiveness and recommend changes to increase the effectiveness and assure quality; Oversee the Section’s technical evaluations for Post Certification Activities (PCA) as well as the preparation of related performance reporting; Be responsible for the development of integrated operations policies, process, metrics and related reports; Prepare documentation and reports related to the work of the Section and present these to the Policy- making Organs.
