I am a U.S. Navy veteran with over 35 years’ of experience working with Electrical & Electronic Technologies. I have been blessed with teaching at Solar Energy International (SEI) since 2015.In 1994, I started my renewable energy career by installing Solar Thermal Systems, then as PV equipment became locally available, I began studying at NC State University to become a PV System installation professional. As the owner of Honey Electric Solar (HES), my job responsibilities ranged from sales, design, installations, equipment troubleshooting/repairs, and management. Between 1994 and 2015, HES installed more than 500 solar energy systems throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Currently, I am a Master Trainer at SEI and a full-time Applications/Product Engineer at Fortress Power, a leading lithium battery manufacturer. My day-to-day experience at Fortress Power keeps him on the leading edge of the integration of lithium battery(s) and with several of today's inverter manufactures products. The rest of my time is devoted to health and enjoying his large family.I maintain my hard earned NC Electrical Contractor license and credential as a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional.
