I have been Curling for as long as I can remember. As corny as this sounds, my first slide down curling ice was in a car seat... I'm not sure I had much say in the matter. As the story goes, I was born into the sport. My parents joined a social curling league in Boston before I was born. It quickly became a convenient and "free" babysitting service for the many young families that joined - the adults could keep an eye on their children through the glass that separated the ice and lounge without having to hear the commotion, and they peacefully enjoyed a funny looking game of shuffleboard on ice. Fast forward and that funny looking game has given me more than I could ever ask for. I have been a member of the U.S. National Curling Team for 12 years as a professional curler and Olympic hopeful. Over the years my team and I have been fortunate to have achieved some remarkable things - U.S. Junior National Champions, Junior World Silver Medalists, U.S. Men's National Champions, multi-time winners on the World Curling Tour, etc. As 2021 Us National Champions, we represented the USA in the 2022 World Championships, placing 4th. However, we've lost more than we've won and that's where the real learning has happened - most notably placing second in the U.S. Olympic Trials twice in a row, narrowly missing out on representing the United States at the Olympics in 2018 and 2022. All that to say, I'm a believer in "the third time is the charm", and look forward to attempting to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games!Aside from my curling career, I was introduced to the wealth management field in 2016, when I first met my current business partner and friend, David Francis. My experience in curling lent it's hand to the wealth management field in several different ways and is why I am so passionate about both careers. 1) My curling career has been very goal oriented in order to achieve what we have so far, 2) Curling is an intimate team sport and 3) I'm very competitive. I'm a partner on The Generations Group at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and we help our clients meet their financial goals, we do it as a team, and we are competitively working to provide individuals, families and businesses of all kinds with the most sophisticated portfolio management strategies. We strive to create customized white-glove experiences for our clients with a very specific eye toward the future generations.
