Engineering Project Manager
Current-Revolutionized the preventive maintenance process across all machines throughout the plant, ensuring on-time and thorough completion of preventive maintenance tasks. Consolidated and condensed existing tasks, performed walkarounds of each workcenter to identify new preventive maintenance tasks, and created a schedule for completion of preventive maintenance for maintenance personnel across all four continental shifts.-Managed a project on the 5S of Maintenance, focusing on replacement and consumable parts. Set up a digital system for organization of maintenance parts, complete with QR code labels, part inventory tracking, and Kanban for ordering more parts when inventory depletes past a defined Safety Stock Level. Created a Maintenance SOP that details the proper receiving, storage, and usage of parts.-Created a layout for the maintenance areas, including the storeroom, the shop, and the area in front of the storeroom, including an audit to ensure that the layout is followed. Designed a Kanban system for WIP equipment that is to be repaired, so that all repairs have a DRI, start date, and a job number attached to them. Overhauled the Preventive Maintenance system by grouping all PMs by frequency and type, and working with Planning department to schedule downtime for every workcenter.-Directed a Scrap Reduction project across all production workcenters. Received weekly reports from the responsible process engineers on largest scrap costs for their workcenters. Proposed, created, and monitored relevant scrap reduction plans.-Continued the FMEA project from my previous role, as well as handling field complaints, being the point-of-contact for external audits (UL and ICC-ES), creating and reviewing non-conformances, issuing dispositions and corrections to non-conforming material, and providing training and guidance to Production Managers on Quality procedures.
