The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Howard University Hospital (HUH) is a key leadership position and is a member of the Executive Council at Howard University Hospital.The COO has accountability for the success of HUH. As the COO of HUH, serve as the link between Adventist Healthcare and HUH. In your role, you will have great influence over the tone and the substance of that relationship. It is crucial that you model behaviors and create strong incentives for HUH to become an engaged part of the AHC family of organizations. The COO will exercise management responsibility over the hospital, ensuring efficient services that are designed to meet the needs of patients, physicians, public, and staff. The COO is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital, including management of the profit and loss statement for the hospital’s business, as well as the related resources associated with the hospital operation.

The COVID-19 Project Director will execute the day-to-day operations of the Heart of Florida Health Center (HFHC) COVID-19 preventative measures, prevention and containment strategy including developing and directing mobile and drive through testing sites within the catchment area. This position will also oversee all data collection and performance improvement activities. In addition, this position will report directly to the CEO of HFHC, ensure all reporting deliverables are attended to, and participate in all required meetings to effectuate the emergency response requirements, HFHC readiness and community well being.
