• Worked directly with Altec’s core supply base with regards to quality, cost, delivery and sustainability• Ensured that pricing in ERP system was kept up-to-date, and validated that volume discount pricing was correct • Quoted out components from a supplier that were solely sourced, quote was intended to improve availability and sustainability of these components but also resulted in a $51K cost savings opportunity• Engaged poor performing suppliers with delivery issues to help develop resolution which lead to increasing 2 suppliers delivery scores by over 20% • Efforts revolving around delivery resulted in an overall increase of 6.3% for the collection of commodities that were being supported• Participated in rapid continuous improvement (kaizen) with a cross-functional team of 30. Team included representatives from 11 Altec facilities and focused on improving on-time delivery. Event included working directly with bottom 100 performing suppliers on issue resolution resulting in improved lead time given and overall delivery.
