I have proved to be very qualified as an Industrial Trouble Shooter, solving all kinds of complex problems, usually with very simple solutions.* I once came up with a very cost effective Air Conditioning system for (2) switching stations for a D.C. Converter Line on the grid line between Oregon and California.*Was able to document the entry and exit of communication and electrical lines in the 1000 ft. long tunnel for Portland International airport in 5 weeks, the surverors had been working there for (2) years and had all of the coordinates but could not put it on paper.* The world's largest wafer plant was being built in Vancouver, Wa., There were Approx. 300 union electricians working on this site. They were having trouble with the chemical building in the middle of the complex, it had (4) emergency systems and was complex, the electricians were having trouble proceeding, so I was called in as an estimator ( I had never worked as an estimator before), The supervisor asked me to take a look at the chemical building. after about a day I suggested that we have a CAD operator draw the (4) conduit systems in (4) different colors this allowed the electricians to finish the project.* Worked with the Elec. Engineer on the schematics for a re-heat furnace at Oregon Steel Mills, this allowed the Technicians to troubleshoot the system, thus resulting in a saving of $50,000/ Mo. in natural gas usage.* Once between jobs I worked on contract on the assembly line for Techtronic Corp. a company that manufactures Ocilliscopes. While there I suggested that they use a L.C.D. read out on their scopes instead of a cathode ray tube. I believe that this led to the development of the thin screen T.V. because about (6) months later there was an article in Popular Science where some designers were developing the L.C.D. T.V.* I have also indirectly contracted with Arco, Exxon, Crown Zellerbach, Publisher Paper, Willamet Ind., and others
