As a laboratory technician in a innovative diagnostic COVID-19 laboratory, I am responsible for - Performing RNA Extraction by operating advanced biotech machines- Receiving and processing of clinical samples within the guidelines of the siteworking procedures.- Entering data into the laboratory information systems.- Performing routine calibration/verification checks on a range of laboratory equipment such as pH meters and balances.- Preparing aliquots and labeling a large variety of buffers and reagents.

I was a member in a Cardiac Electrophysiology Research Lab with Dr. Thao P. Nguyen, MD, PhD. I was in charge of reading, analyzing, and Identifying heart condition on electrocardiograms (ECGs) on Zebrafish and to identify certain drug effects on cardiac arrhythmias.

- Verify patients information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visit.- Prepare patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room.- Complete records by recording patient examination, treatment and test results.- Provide professional customer service through answering phone calls and scheduling patients’ appointments.

Under the supervision of Dr. Kay Durairaj, I was responsible for building an online course to train cosmetic injectors, at all levels of expertise, on how to revolutionize the delivery of aesthetic medicine through cutting-edge techniques by - Writing didatics that focus on training injectors on a variety of facial regions (anatomy, patient assessment, danger zones, injection techniques, risks and complications)- Creating anatomical drawings to facilitate the understanding of the vascular and muscular anatomy of the face. - Recording virtual video demonstrations covering Dr. Kay’s techniques in injecting botulinum toxins, hyaluronic acid fillers, Radiesse, Kybella, and Sculptra.

- Designing and executing laboratory testing according standard procedures - Conducting safe experiments using radiolabeled lactose under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses. - Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies- The goal of the project was to generate a driving force for lactose uptake by K+-loaded right-side-out cytoplasmic membrane vesicles (RSOs) in the absence of the membrane-embedded respiratory chain. The basic experiment involved dilution of RSOs into equimolar Na+ in the presence of valinomycin at various pHs and studying the time course of radiolabeled lactose accumulation.

UCLA PREP is a unique non-residential program designed to provide premedical students from disadvantaged backgrounds with the means to strengthening their ability and readiness to study medicine. I had the opportunity to: - Shadow physicians from different specialties and get exposed to the hospital environment. - Network with a cohort of disadvantaged pre-medical and pre-dental students to raise awareness about health disparities and the injustice faced by minority groups in healthcare. - Volunteer at MidNight Mission homeless shelter and provide service for the homeless population in Los Angeles.

- Greet and invoice of customers as well as answer phones.- Use Mac and PC computers in administrative support of the Computer Store.- Assist technicians in repairing broken devices

Summer Health Professional Educational Program was an enrichment in pre-health profession for a group of underrepresented interns in healthcare. SHPEP offered clinical exposure, financial workshops, teamwork and study skills, health policy seminars, and understanding of health disparities and cultural competence across health professions.

Providing ono-on-one tutoring during the semester by using proper tutor skills in math, general chemistry, and evolutionary biology.

Provide group tutoring sessions by using course content provided by a particular instructor for anatomy and general chemistry.

Provide customer services, stocking, organizing, taking orders over the phone, and front desk tasks.
