I have proven leadership and experience in resource allocation, including budget formulation, business development, project management, and strategic communication with significant military leadership experience - including extensive experience in federal appropriations and Congressional processes as a staff member on the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee. I bring value and decision support to principals, and have significant experience staffing senior military and Congressional leaders. I’m a military leader with a proven track record of building teams and delivering success. I recently retired as a Commander (O5) in the U.S. Coast Guard, and am pivoting from Active Duty service. I hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance. I spent my operational career as a Search and Rescue Helicopter Pilot flying the MH-60 Jayhawk conducting missions off Cape Hatteras, interdicting drug and human smugglers in the Florida Straits, and conducting rescue operations in Kodiak Alaska. I also bring crisis management skills and experience, having conducted emergency operations in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, oil spill recovery operations following the BP Deepwater Horizon spill of national significance, and earthquake response in coastal Alaska. Specialties include Federal Budget, Arctic Policy and Governance, technology and public policy, and national security. Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Princeton University, Master in Business Administration (MBA) candidate from New York University Stern School of Business. Real time risk analysis and mitigation experience as a Coast Guard Helicopter Instructor Pilot and Flight Examiner, FAA certified Airline Transport Pilot, and deputy operations officer in Kodiak Alaska overseeing operations and logistics across 4.5 million square miles.
