I lead the development, delivery and assessment of the plant’s value stream transformation strategies that inform business objectives, drive process and cost efficiencies in daily plant production. I analyze equipment and manufacturing data, identify opportunities for improvement in overall process, methods and work center design, and collaborate with managers, engineers on design improvement and waste elimination processes. To ensure the ongoing adoption of new processes, I meticulously train and educate lean manufacturing concepts and exercise change management principles.In this role, I have:● Planned, prepared and facilitated plant’s year one Value Stream Mapping and Analysis session establishing the fiscal year’s strategy and transformation schedule.● Established four core elements – MDI, Accountability and Department Performance Boards; Steering Committee; Gemba Walks; Mission Control – per the company’s Management for Daily Improvement guidelines.● Realized a 55% reduction in die changeover times by coaching an area leader to prepare and lead a single-minute exchange of die (SMED) kaizen event.● Championed the ownership and use of Performance Boards in a very challenging and resistant environment.● Coached and mentored kaizen event leaders and conducted extensive preparation to lead/facilitate several kaizens.

In this role, I directed all transformational process efforts and championed the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies. I facilitated the development of current and future-state value stream maps, provided project management and engaged directly with internal stakeholders to realize benefits. To generate program support, I trained senior leaders and then administered Lean training to operators to drive a continuous improvement culture.Key accomplishments in this role include:● Planning, preparing and facilitating plant’s year one, two and three Value Stream Mapping and Analysis sessions, establishing the respective fiscal year’s strategy and transformation schedule.● Driving aggressive first-year transformation schedule for 17 kaizens and a dozen value-stream-related projects● Creating a model/reference plant with the rollout of Transformation 2.0, completing it with minimal guidance● Leading successful plant-wide 6S implementation through focused kaizen events.

I investigated, summarized and prioritized engineering changes within the plant’s SAP operating system, including bill of materials, workflows, and instruction books. I curated customer feedback data into actionable reporting and collaborated with cross-functional teams to design impactful engineering changes and assist in the administration of outstanding customer service. I also evaluated project change requests, assessed feasibility, and implemented them.

In this role, I designed and led programs to ensure quality control and assurance of production of globally sourced products. I coordinated all inspections, designs and tests, performed quality reviews of design documentation to ensure consistency with established standards. I determined scope, required resources and timeline for projects, managed quality of output and associated risks.While in this role, I:● Improved product quality and availability by employing a third-party to conduct production and pre-shipment inspections in southeast Asia, minimizing product delays and rework issues.● Significantly reduced time required to prototype, test, manufacture and ship new products sourced from Asia by streamlining the team’s new product development processes.
