During my academic years, I gained more than five years of professional experience in retail as a Sales Assistant. I had the opportunity to develop several essential skills, such as excellent customer service, effective communication, time management, and independent thinking. My responsibilities included ensuring the store was always well-stocked, assisting with deliveries, providing customers with accurate information about in-store items, operating the tills, managing cash, and assisting customers with pre-orders for items out of stock.During my time at Wilko's, I worked during extended periods of reduced staffing, which allowed me to work independently and take on a broader range of responsibilities, such as organising my shift priorities in response to the needs of the business. I was known as a dependable and proactive team member who worked flexibly to support the management team in ensuring all priorities were completed during my shifts.
