I am presently working as Group Leader at DNV’s Approval Centre East Asia (ACEA), in Busan, Korea.I am heading the Bridge System section, which is responsible for all activity within Nautical Safety in this area. After completing my M.Sc. degree in Nautical Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in December 1999, I started my career in DNV as a Nautical Surveyor January 1st 2000. The job was related to Nautical Safety; including plan approval, nautical surveys and type approval of navigational equipment in accordance with internal and international Rules and Regulations. In addition I was responsible for training DNV Surveyors within the field of Nautical Safety as well as holding training courses for external clients, such as yards and owners. I was also a tutor regarding Nautical Safety.From May 2004 until the end of 2006 I moved to Korea, taking up a position as Senior Nautical Surveyor at DNV’s Approval Centre East Asia (ACEA), with similar duties as described above. Upon my return to Norway in January 2007, I went back to the Nautical Safety section as a Senior Nautical Surveyor.Since August 2007, I was offered the position as Production Manager / Deputy Head of Department in DNV SeaSkill. DNV SeaSkill offered certification and verification services within training, competence and management system for the maritime and offshore industry.The role as Production Manager included daily responsibility of the production, involvement in budgeting, strategic and economic planning and responsible to reach economical goals.In February 2011, I moved to Oslo Maritime Station as a Senior Surveyor. My duties here included ISM, ISPS, ISO 9000, ISO 14000 & OSHAS 18001 audits for both ships and companies, Type Approval in accordance with the EC Marine Equipment Directive as well as DNV Rules and TTS jobs for Statoil.I have work experience as Officer in the Norwegian Navy as well as on several ships for Odfjell ASA,Specialties: Competence building, certification schemes, ship surveys, nautical instumentation/equipment, management systems, ISM, ISPS, TTS, Lead Auditor, audits,
