As a Inventory and Repair Executive at Challenge Group, I manage the end-to-end procurement and logistics operations for our Group’s airlines, ensuring the timely shipment of routine, AOG. Based at our Malta headquarters, I oversee material movements from our Liège (Belgium) maintenance base and other outstations, while building a robust network of suppliers to meet our transportation needs. Oversee incoming inspections to ensure compliance with EASA, FAA and CAAI regulations, manage quarantine materials, warehouse operations, and parts storage, and oversee the repair cycle of components. Additionally, I support urgent logistics requirements on a 24/7 basis, assist in outsourced maintenance checks, manage warranties, and contribute to materials budgeting and contract negotiations.

This role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and is responsible to oversee activities related to co-ordination across the material supply function. In this role I assume daily functions related to material planning. I liaise closely with other leaders and stakeholders to ensure an efficient operation and the achievement of the agreed service levels.

As an Aircraft Material Buyer, I am responsible for sourcing and procurement of aircraft material for active aircraft services projects at Sr Technics Malta. This includes the placement of the request for quotations, purchasing of material and monitoring dispatch of orders from vendors.

As a Material Coordinator I was responsible for providing material support to maintenance operations, including but not limited to warehousing, logistics coordination, material planning in support of aircraft and back shop maintenance activities purchasing and freight. Support aircraft production planners and engineers with event related material planning and disposition. I Review and coordinate material requests raised by other departments and/or customers. Coordinate transportation of customer owned materials. Coordinate with material buyers for procurement of material not in stock in MLA. Commissioning of routine check material prior of A/C induction. Coordinate repair material from stock or from other warehouses in SR Technics. Ensure that materials and services are provided in accordance to agreed contracts and service level agreements. Compile component change lists as per customer’s requirements, processes, and procedures. Attend meetings and conference calls as required. Prepare material status, display, and present during Project Core Team Meetings. Prepare material status and represent SRT during Customer Meetings. Collect data and measure relevant KPI. Assist in other activities applicable to the supply chain department’s functions and roles as directed from time to time.

Preparing material for upcoming layover. Following material targets. Coordinate returning of serviceable and unserviceable material from production. Attending to kick off, wash up meetings and providing necessary data. Attend to daily customer and production meetings. Following external communication and new material request. Reporting unapproved parts and creating and updating material master data.
