Achievements include improving OEE from 50% to c.70%, increasing nail conformance across multiple sites from 20% to c. 95%, upskilling the maintenance team and increasing the size of the team.

Writing Technical Reports for the new repair process (within GRS) for laser material addition for damaged blisks. Objectives include:EJ200 LP2 GOM MSA Studies: To carry out a MSA Studyfor the scallop operation and a component bias MSA study.EJ200 LP2 Machining and Measurement Technical package: Ownership of the Technical instructions for the adaptive machining and measurement IPT. Understanding the whole repair process and coordinating/supporting the tasks required to have all technical instructions complete.Siemens NX Turbo machinery: Creating a plan of machining trials using Siemens NX v PSI for all stages of the XWB HPC drum. Support the machining trials, weekly Siemens link calls and document the findings in the form of a report. Work with the MSCoC to agree timescales to resolving any issues and map this timescales against Blisk repair customer commitments.

Working on the Trent XWB 84k IPC and HPC to ensure FLAWLESS EIS; with a mature product and supply chain - managing risks such as FRACAS, DfS, and LCC. Also took on an IPTL role attending level 2 and 3 meetings and managing a global team from product manufacture in Germany, to component validation in Scotland, and component incorporation into the module in Japan - across multiple businesses and companies. Accountable for cost, risk, and delivery of IPC components. Opportunities included learning about the Product Change Board processes - communication between designers, management, and in-service engineers to realise multiple targets.

A summer Internship working at the Rolls-Royce Derby site within the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team. Work experiences include; Trent XWB spare engine availability modelling, Trent 900 Engine Monitoring Unit (EMU) requirements, LCE metrics and budgets analysis.

A vast amount of experience working on AH-64, Gazelle, and Lynx helicopters carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance on aircraft systems including hydraulics, fuel, and propulsion. Other responsibilities included flight servicing, completing flight safety checks, compressor washing, Quality Assurance, tool control, and completing aircraft documentation.As a soldier I also had secondary roles, including; Fire Non-Commissioned Officer, Guard Staff, Section Leader, Drill Staff, and Ground Servicing Equipment maintainer. These roles and responsibilities took place during hot-climate training in Arizona, cold climate training in Canada, various exercises across the UK, and an operational tour in Afghanistan.Working on operational aircraft provided first line knowledge of, not exclusively; engines, gearboxes, high pressure fluids, accumulators, and rotary, fuel, and air conditioning systems. The skills learned by ‘fixing’ these systems provided a fundamental engineering background and foundation to achieve academically.Aside from gaining a working knowledge of in-service aircraft, the Army developed my leadership and managerial skills giving me the ability and confidence to control demanding situations and to drive the direction of a team. Similarly whilst serving for HM Forces, I improved my communication skills; working with various work sectors, comprising of many different nationalities, towards a common goal.
