Led lab sections with experiments developed to teach students how to analyze various environmental media for toxicants. Concepts ranged from sample preparation to chromatography (LC and GC) to instrumental analysis (mass spectometry, VWD, NPD, etc).

My research in the Woolard lab centers around neuro-oncology and pathology of glioma. Current projects include investigating mechanisms of glioma tumor recurrence and assessment of epigenetic drug targets in isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutant glioma.

Dr. Angelastro's lab aims to develop novel dominant-negative peptides with anticancer activity. My project involved developing an ATF5-targeted gene therapy approach for treating glioblastoma with a dominant-negative ATF5 transgene.
