I am an Engineering Manager at MEST Africa, a pan-African IT company, seed fund, and incubator for technology entrepreneurs. With over 11 years of experience in software engineering, I have extensive expertise in the technology industry, delivering cloud-based systems to hundreds of businesses and helping my employers generate over $100 million in total revenue. I pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of London and have a Certification in Cybersecurity from (ISC)².In my current role, I lead the end-to-end delivery of various cloud-based systems, such as bulk SMS gateway systems, AI-powered chatbots, scalable voice SMS systems, interactive voice response solutions, ride-booking systems, and others. I am responsible for setting up new microservices, designing the code and database structures, modularizing and allocating tasks among the engineers, developing the payment modules, and interacting with third-party partners for streamlined integration. I am deeply passionate about utilizing technology to enhance lives and solve social problems. My newfound hobby is helping to solve climate change problems and innovations in renewable energy technology.
