Teaching an Introduction to microeconomics course to Urban strategies Master's students

Lecturer for the course "Economics in the City" taught by Pierre Madec within the "Territorial and Urban Strategies"master at Sciences Po.

- Monitoring the economic and financial situation of 8 Southern African countries (South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe).- Analysis and tracking of AFD (French Development Agency) financing projects in the region and projects by multilateral development banks (World Bank, African Development Bank).- Oversight of infrastructure projects funded by the French Treasury in Sub-Saharan Africa (Dakar's regional train, Abidjan's subway).

- Economic analysis of public policies related to the housing sector and climate transition, drafting notes and recommendations for the Minister of the Economy (energy renovation incentives, funds for brownfield recycling, urban planning regulations, zero net land consumption, etc.).- Development of economic analyses for the General Secretariat for Ecological Planning, focusing on building energy renovation and combating land artificialization.- Drafting legislative and regulatory texts (climate and resilience law, finance laws, decrees related to zero net land consumption, decree on the extension of the tax on vacant housing, decrees related to MonAccompagnateurRénov’).

- Coordination of technical and policy work with associative, inter-municipal, and state partners on the rehabilitation of the old city center.- Support in managing an urban development project (ANRU): financial and technical monitoring, programming, fostering relationships with partners, preparing decisions for elected officials.- Supervision of emergency evacuations and renovation work for deteriorated condominiums.- Administrative and financial management of the department: budget monitoring, training plans, legal compliance of procedures.
