About Thomas Kerr

After focusing my education on computing, I had started my career. I worked in HMV as a customer service representative which gave me my first experience of working in a fast-paced, customer focused, retail role. It provided me with vital experience in working with the public which I attribute my people skills to. I had then moved on to customer service, retentions and sales at HEROtsc on behalf of Sky. In this role, it was very target based which drove my performance and gave me something to shoot for with each customer transaction.After working there for just over a year, I got my foot in the door in the I.T. industry with Proact. This has given me vital experience and exposure to enterprise level storage systems such as Netapp filers, on which I perform most of my work on. I enjoy my work every day and I get a good feeling when I resolve an incident. I put my customer service skills to use when I speak to clients on the telephone or if I'm doing a remote session with them. I started off as an operations team technical consultant and worked up to 2nd line consultant which is where I am now. Proact have afforded me the chance to prove myself and have given me the opportunity to work my way up the ladder and learn some vital skills in the I.T. sector.
