My main duties included:-Sales calls-Creating and sending sales emails-In person sales meetings-Managing accounts-Writing advertising copy-Screening candidates and sourcing the best ones for each role

As an Education Recruitment Consultant, my main aim was to match a candidate to temporary or permanent positions within secondary schools across Derbyshire. The key of successful matching is to build positive relationships in order to gain a better understanding for both Client schools and Candidates to support them in their own bespoke way.On a daily basis, I carried out the following to attract candidates, using Teaching Personnel’s internal systems:- Writing advertising copy for use in a range of media- Networking- Headhunting- ReferralsOnce the candidate had either applied for a position or I had headhunted them, I then carried out the following process:- Screen candidates- Interview candidates- Run background checks inc. DBS, safeguarding checks and references (all REC checklist)Following this process, I could then finally match each successful candidate with the appropriate school and position.In terms of sourcing new schools and adding them to the Teaching Personnel database, I regularly carried out the following tasks:- Use sales, business development and marketing techniques to attract schools to use our services- Visit the schools (usually the SLT) to build and develop positive relationships, such as: face to face meetings and orientations- Develop a good understanding of each individual school, their requirements, work culture and environment- Negotiation in terms of rates
