My main responsibilities as a Less Than Truckload (LTL) Specialist is to manage all LTL freight for the sales representatives at FMI. Pulling rate quotes, booking loads, tracking and tracing, and resolving billing issues are all part of my daily routine. I am very well versed in booking freight given to me from freight forwarders, who usually ship to or from airports and container freight stations (CFS). I also meet with potential new customers that primarily ship LTL and try to establish customer specific pricing for them through my company. I also negotiate my current FMI pricing tariffs, working down assessorial charges or establishing a Freight All Kinds (FAK) tiered system.
