Driving the sustainable digital transformation of Wacker Chemie AG. I am being responsible for a multitude of projects at the interface between IT and sustainability.

I was concerned with evaluating ways in which MaibornWolff and software can support the ecological transformation of business models, processes, and software infrastructures. That includes both, using software to drive ecological impact as well as making the software itself greener. This included actively engaging in conversations with department heads, uncovering the needs of customers, and shaping and formulating a service offer to clients.

I was part of multiple consulting and implementation projects in the area of AI, data science, and classical software engineering. This included aligning customer needs with technical possibilities, IT architecture design, and software development.

As part of the CLARIN infrastructure, a web and centers-based research infrastructure for the social sciences and humanities, I developed a web application and various web services. These helped to increase the usability of the underlying tools and in turn increased their usage and visibility in the research community.

My research was concerned with employing machine learning for the localization of a speaker's origin based on acoustic features from speech. As part of this, I additionally validated a method for the pre-processing of speech recordings to be used in the research of regional variation and proposed a method for spotting errors in this automatic process to decrease manual labor.
