Profile bio

About Thomas Kroll

I am a recent graduate in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics. My research was in the application of Large-Eddy Simulation (LES) to flows with complex geometries. More specifically, I was focuseddevelopment and application of an unstructured overset grid methodology developed by Horne and Mahesh [J. Comput. Phys (2019) 376:585-596], to marine propeller flows in the off-design condition known as crashback. I am a motivated worker who enjoys learning experiences and the diverse challenges in the engineering field. My interests are in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in both development and application to real-world systems involving heat transfer and fluid flow as well as the role high-performance computing (HPC) can play to enhance this.

Listed skills include Mechanical Engineering, Matlab, Solidworks, Teamwork, and 16 others.
