About Thomas Kwiatkowski

I'm a Board-certified Neurologist with a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and 8 years' experience in research at Massachusetts General Hospital. I've discovered genetic defects responsible for one form of spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA1, as a graduate student) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS6 - the "FUS/TLS" gene). I have a number of high-profile scientific publications and have helped develop two genetic tests.
