I am an analytical and innovative engineering and manufacturing leader with experience transforming functional organizations and re-engineering manufacturing and business processes. My past work includes site operations leadership, functional department leadership and capital program management. Throughout my career I have tackled complex manufacturing challenges and delivered top-line growth and bottom-line savings.WORK HIGHLIGHTSI am happy to be serving as the VP of Operations at Baebies, Inc., an organization dedicated to the proposition that “Everyone deserves a healthy start.”® Our SEEKER platform uses our patented digital microfluidic technology to detect lysosomal storage diseases for newborns. Our FINDER platform is 510(k) approved and delivers molecular and chemical assays using only a few drops of patient fluid. At our core we are mission-focused, customer-centric, high-velocity, and innovative. Learn about our technology, see the products in our pipeline, and track our growth at www.baebies.com.My work in life sciences manufacturing began in 2006 when I joined BD Biosciences Discovery Labware. In 2014, Corning Life Sciences turned to me when they needed an engineering and manufacturing leader who could work autonomously to define and advance a confidential business integration program. In support of the program, I led the international relocation of a manufacturing business unit, defined a bold supply chain optimization program, and advanced multimillion-dollar spinoff projects to approval. Post-integration, I applied my expertise in manufacturing process redesign, FDA compliant quality systems, and process validation to the leadership of multimillion-dollar programs that expanded manufacturing capacity for revenue-critical products supporting the vaccine manufacturing and gene therapy markets.Prior to my work in life sciences, I was the Director of Operations at Sumitomo Electric Lightwave and responsible for the leadership of their planning, manufacturing and engineering functions. While there, I led site startup activities, guided manufacturing and engineering departments through volatile market and operations conditions, transformed production control processes, and designed and developed specialized manufacturing systems critical to their business and market success.
