I evolved from cell biologist and physiologist into the business world as founder and CEO of an innovative, science based and strategically focused group of healthcare advertising and communications companies. These companies, acknowledged as the fastest growing healthcare agencies in their industry, were acquired by Omnicom Group Inc and shortly thereafter, I became President, then Chairman and CEO of the Diversified Agency Services (DAS) division at Omnicom Group. Under my leadership, the DAS division grew organically and acquisitively to become the largest worldwide holding company of entrepreneur-driven marketing services, specialty marketing and national advertising agencies in the industry. Inspiring entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial behavior, catalyzing strategic growth, igniting innovation and respectful listening combine to characterize my leadership style. I authored INSTINCT: Tapping Your Entrepreneurial DNA to Achieve Your Business Goals and Entrepreneurial Behavior, a published volume of my leadership blogs. I have accepted appointments as director on boards of public, private, and private equity-owned companies as well as non-profit organizations. I provide both personal and operational counsel to business leaders, mentor millennial and GenZ entrepreneurs and I influence influencers. I currently serve in various Board director and operational advisory capacities across a number of cannabis related companies. Inducted into the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame in 2020.
