About Thomas Lagrelius Md
I am a family physician and specialist in geriatric medicine practicing in Torrance California since 1983. I own Skypark Preferred Family Care. I am and have been active in organized medicine and medical politics and been president of several medical and business organizations and founder of one. I have written many articles and editorials on health care and related issues and speak often on a variety of related subjects. My practice is a "concierge" practice limited to 600 patients, a small fraction of the 3,000 patient practices typical of primary care generally. I accomplish this by charging an annual membership fee of $2,100 which allows me the luxury of having almost unlimited time with my patients and allows them almost unlimited access to me 24/7/365. I was one of the early adopters of this model and served as the fourth president of AAPP, a national concierge medicine professional society.
