Duties included redesigning financial systems to prepare for acquisition or merger to enlarge scope of operations. Stated dates not yet confirmed.

As initial co-founder and CEO, recruited other qualified executives, and coordinated the full scale conceptual design of a new startup airline (14 CFR Part 121) with a plan for 6 initial Boeing 757 aircraft to provide non-stop service from its base at San Diego (KSAN) to 6 east coast cities; developed extensive financial models compliant with 14 CFR Part 241, Business Plan and market substantiation for SEC Reg D securities offering via private placement; developed plan, manuals and submissions for FAA Part 121 certification; interacted with many potential funding sources; ultimately shut down project when adequate funding could not be obtained.

(dates are estimates only) Initially a staff engineer, then project engineer for a small highly specialized company engaged in the design, development, testing, and production of shock and vibration isolation devices such as engine mounts, avionics rack isolation mounts, satellite stabilization systems, etc. My role included supervision of the testing laboratory, together with the conceptualization, analysis, and design of systems to isolate shock and vibration. This ultimately led to my role later as a subject matter expert in the crash of a Boeing 727 aircraft, where I had been the project engineer on the gyroscopic stabilization system of that generic aircraft. This position was highly analytical and followed my prior position as a structures engineer at Lockheed engaged in the pre-certification development of the Lockheed L-1011 aircraft in market competition with the McDonnell Douglass DC-10 series aircraft.
