The Quality Control Chief for the 12th Marine Corps Recruiting District is the last line of Quality Control for the District Commanding Officer. The Quality Control Chiefs responsibilities include but are not limited to; tracking, reviewing, and recommending next steps for all recruiting related waivers for the 12th Marine Corps District with an area reaching from San Diego to Seattle. Track, analyze, and brief Quality Control Officer and Commanding Officer on all trends and discrepancies throughout the 8 Recruiting Stations within the 12th Marine Corps District. Inspect all MEPS facilities and recommend improvement strategies to the Commanding Officer.

San Diego

The ultimate responsibility of the MEPS Liaison is to ensure future Marines ship to recruit training with the least amount of quality control discrepancies. Duties include but are not limited to; preparing applicant contracts, reviewing quality control measures, interviewing applicants for enlistment and shipment to recruit training, ensuring applicants are scheduled and arrive at their place of duty, brief Commanding Officer directly on all things relating to applicant status, MEPCOM policies and procedures, and status of Recruiting Station mission attainment.

Las Vegas, Nevada Area

Station Commanders serving on Recruiting Duty are responsible for accomplishing monthly and yearly contracting and shipping missions within Marine Corps standards. Leading and ensuring future Marines are mentally and physically prepared for recruit training are one of the main duties entrusted to a Station Commander. Station Commanders must maintain a low level of entry level as well as recruit training attrition to ensure quality individuals are joining and becoming Marines. Station Commanders are masters in the art of high pressure sales, service after the sale, and maintaining a positive image of the Marine Corps. Station Commanders are the driving force for their areas of operations in monthly and yearly planning, daily operations, strategy, logistics, training, leadership, moral, and ethical decision making.
